Lucion awarded a place on the hub South West Scotland's TSN

4 January 2021

We are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded a place on the hub South West Scotland’s Territory Supplier Network (TSN)

This is an exciting opportunity for Lucion and our Scotland team to work with a fantastic Partnership enabling collaborative working on key projects throughout South West Scotland. The award will see us working with public and private sector clients via their main contractors on key community services and infrastructure projects across the education, health, housing and leisure sectors.

With our local Scotland Office located on Strathclyde Business Park, we are in the perfect position to provide support and resources for the upcoming projects for the South West Hub. We look forward to working with the local Hub community to provide a cost-effective, sustainable and safer future.

Who is hub South West Scotland?

hub South West Scotland is a private partnership that enables cost-efficient design and construction of community infrastructure within Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway. With more than £1.2b of community based projects currently in the pipeline, hub South West Scotland continues to provide cost-effective and successful contracts across the housing, education and health sectors.

hub South West Scotland consider themselves to be different from other procurement organisations because they believe that as a private enterprise, they can approach the provision of services in a much more strategic manner allowing them to continually help increase the speed and reduce the cost of community infrastructure procurements.

What services can Lucion Environmental provide through the hub South West Scotland framework?

Through the Hub South West Scotland supplier network, we can provide a range of asbestos management services, including:

We are currently successfully delivering contracts to many clients through other Scottish procurement organisations alike and look forward to starting our working relationship with the Hub’s Tier 1 contractors including  Kier Construction, Morrison Construction, Graham Construction and Morgan Sindall on the many exciting construction and refurbishment opportunities in the pipeline.

Lucion’s North East and Scotland Business Development Manager, Steven Lahire commented:

This is an exciting opportunity for Lucion and we are very keen to start working more closely with their Tier 1 contractors on the key schemes.

We have a strong capability in the South West area of Scotland and are able to deliver asbestos management services to support the hub's key projects over the next 12-24 months and beyond.

Our base in Scotland is our Glasgow office, which is one of three offices in our Scotland and North East England Area, the others being Gateshead and Hull. We have a substantial resource of more than 50 BOHS qualified asbestos surveyors and analysts in the area with coverage across all Scottish Counties in the South West region, including Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway.

Asbestos Inspection and Testing services are supported by our Operational Support and Laboratory Services team based in Gateshead, which includes in excess of 50 administrators who are dedicated to analysing bulk samples, processing survey data, carrying out quality control and annotating site and floor plans.

Our laboratory is the largest UKAS ISO 17025 accredited asbestos testing laboratory in the UK which can process up to 1,200 samples a day and is staffed by over 30 BOHS P401 qualified laboratory analysts. This is an unrivalled capacity and means we can deliver large long term survey schemes as well as large one-off projects simultaneously without straining our site or support resources.
