About Us

Our focus for the past 20 years has been the safe management of hazardous materials. From the beginning it has been essential for our company to think about what we can do to best serve our clients and reduce risks to their organisations, as well as their team and other individuals within their businesses and assets.

We realised early on during our development that we wanted to protect people and the planet. This would become our mission.

In order to achieve this mission, we have developed our capabilities to extend our service offering of accredited and certified hazardous material inspection, testing, and consultancy, delivering holistic and trusted risk management.

Our Capabilities

Our UKAS ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations for asbestos inspection, testing and analysis demonstrates that our services are delivered to the highest standards and that both internal and external quality assurance measures are applied to all services delivered, with regulatory body auditors monitoring performance for ongoing performance and quality control.

Unlike other consultancies, we have Priority Risk Assessments and Re-inspections within the scope of our ISO 17020 accreditation, and Scanning Electron Microscopy analysis within the scope of our ISO 17025 accreditation; this means Lucion offers a more specialised service to clients which provides greater risk analysis and management capabilities. As in-house services this also means that quality control and delivery is managed internally, rather than sub-contracting services to 3rd parties who may have their own workloads and priorities.

Our Accreditations

 

We have held our UKAS accreditations continuously since 2002 demonstrating our continued independence and impartiality. Through our independence we can critically assess existing procedures to identify issues and work to achieve targeted compliance levels.

Our level of experience and expertise in asbestos regulations, HSE guidance and approved codes of practice makes us an invaluable supply chain partner for consultation between our clients and regulatory bodies. We hold memberships to regulatory bodies, including the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association (ATaC) where we receive communications regarding consultation and changes to UK regulations on a regular basis.
