What are Highways Hazardous Material Surveys?
With much of the UK highways infrastructure over 20 years old, one of the biggest risks associated with renewal schemes, repair and maintenance are the hidden dangers of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) and other hazardous materials contaminating your land.
Highways hazardous material surveys are surveys that involve the sampling, identification and quantification of a variety of potential hazards that may be hidden in your lands. Your survey should be conducted in line with the Land Contamination Risk Management Guidance (LCRM).
Whether you are renewing existing highways or developing new highways on brownfield land or regular lands, it is important to identify and assess your lands for potential hazardous materials and substances that can pose a risk to individuals and the environment by conducting hazardous material surveys on highways prior to any commencements of project works.
What Highways Hazardous Material Surveys can Lucion provide?
Utilising the UK’s largest asbestos testing and inspection facility UKAS ISO 17025 accredited for asbestos in soils identification, analysis and quantification using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERT) compliant laboratories for hazardous material testing and analysis, our team can survey your highways for multiple hazardous materials and substances.
