The 181 flats, communal areas, and undercroft were in drastically poor condition, with many flats subject to vandalism and disrepair. A significant amount of asbestos was discovered throughout the site.
Due to the nature of the building, undercroft surveys and water sampling for bacterial hazardous substances were required. Our confined space trained teams were able to conduct the surveys safely with the employment of an additional confined space rescue team on standby.
Following the surveys, our team of BOHS qualified Asbestos Analysts supplied analytical attendance throughout the works 5 days a week throughout July and August 2019, then dropping down to 2 days a week until the works finished late November.
