LUCION INFRASTRUCTURE IS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE GROUNDWORKS AND SITE INVESTIGATIONS SUPPORT

23 May 2018

Occupational health and safety risk management specialist Lucion Services have established a new service division to provide specialist infrastructure services and remediation works.

The newly created Lucion Infrastructure will provide a range of groundworks, remediation and civil engineering services to the utilities, infrastructure and highways sectors. The new unit will operate nationally, providing sub-contract support on smaller civils contracts, providing a range of controlled excavation, surveying and ground investigation works.

These will include all groundwork requirements associated with cable laying, lamp column preparation, duct proofing, DCP testing, trial pits and exploratory investigations and CCTV drainage surveys. The company’s specialist expertise will involve the capability to carry out asbestos surveys across the complete infrastructure network.

For example, in the specialist area of soil sampling, this will involve the preparation of RAMS, establishing a sampling strategy, undertaking surveying work, the investigation of buried services, carrying out excavations and providing soil samples for laboratory analysis.

Lucion Infrastructure will be headed by Ross Perratt, who said:

“The asbestos and hazardous materials management services provided by Lucion Environmental means we already have a nationally recognised brand and a strong existing client base in the utilities and highways infrastructure sector.

“The creation of a specialist civils and ground investigations unit will complement this work and represents a natural expansion of our group business, bringing new opportunities to broaden our service provision to existing and new clients.

“We already have experienced staff for highways working which provides a good foundation to build on and initially we will be focusing on basic groundworks support for smaller contracts, with the aim of growing our business and investigative services as we develop.”
